ABOUT Blaze youth
At Oakhill, we’re thrilled to introduce Blaze Youth Ministry, crafted especially for our high school youth, Grades 8-12. Our ministry is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of young people through our two dynamic programs: Blaze Bash and Blaze GiG’s.
Our Vision: Go In to Go Out
We believe in building a strong spiritual foundation in our youth, fostering a sense of family within our community, and empowering them to spread God’s love and truth in all areas of their lives. Our mission is to equip our teens to advance His kingdom in their communities and schools, reaching out and making a difference wherever they go.
Core Elements of Blaze
Our programs revolve around four key elements:
- Worship – Encouraging heartfelt connections with God.
- Fun – Creating joyful and memorable experiences.
- Connecting – Building meaningful relationships among peers.
- The Word – Grounding our youth in biblical truth.
Key Scripture
We draw inspiration from 1 Timothy 4:12-13: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
Our PROGRAMS
BLAZE BASH
Join us every Friday night during school terms for an evening filled with fun, fellowship, and faith-building activities.
- When: Fridays, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Where: Oakhill Coffee Lounge
- Who: Grades 8-12
BLAZE GIGS
Our Sunday morning sessions focus on deepening our understanding of the foundations of the faith, creating a solid spiritual base for our youth.
- When: Sundays, 9:00 am – 10:30 am
