What is baptism?
Water baptism is a public declaration of a new creation in Christ, symbolizing Christ’s burial and resurrection and our new life in Him. It involves being fully submerged in water, following the example set by Christ and fulfilling His command.
Scriptures such as Colossians 2:12 and 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 highlight the significance of baptism in aligning with Christ’s death and resurrection. In Matthew 28:19-20, Christ commands believers to make disciples, baptize them, and teach obedience to His teachings. Baptism signifies a spiritual rebirth and commitment to walk in obedience in relationship with Jesus Christ and His commands. By getting baptized we declare that by faith, we believe and identify with Him and want to be part of the community of believers.
