OAKHILL LEADERSHIP MODEL
Leadership Board
The Board is responsible for upholding the church’s vision and mission, overseeing financial, operational, and administrative affairs. They work closely with the Eldership to align the church’s mission, vision, and congregational engagement.
Eldership
The Eldership provides spiritual oversight and guidance, ensuring the church remains anchored in its spiritual goals. The Eldership Sub-committee appoints elders to serve on the Board for specific terms, balancing practical management with spiritual leadership.
Deacons
Deacons support both the Board and Eldership by serving the church in practical, administrative, and spiritual roles. They lead small groups, organize volunteers, and care for those in need, including the sick and elderly. Deacons also act as ministry leaders, facilitating various church programs and services.
Importantly, deacons are integral to our leadership pipeline. Both elders and board members must have previously served as deacons, ensuring a strong foundation in practical service and a deep understanding of our church’s culture and needs. This approach helps to execute and implement our strategic direction effectively, building a unified leadership team that meets both operational and spiritual needs.
