OAKHILL LEADERSHIP MODEL
At Oakhill Church, we believe healthy leadership is built on servanthood, spiritual maturity, wisdom, and a genuine heart for people. Our leadership structure consists of three leadership expressions — Board, Elders, and Deacons — each carrying different responsibilities and areas of focus within the life of the church.
While each role functions differently, they are deeply connected and work together in unity to help lead, strengthen, care for, and steward the church well. Together, they help ensure that Oakhill remains spiritually healthy, biblically grounded, practically supported, and aligned in vision and direction.
We believe leadership is not simply about position, but about faithfully serving others, building healthy church family, and helping people grow in relationship with Jesus and one another.
Board
The Board provides oversight in areas such as governance, finance, operations, and legal responsibility. They help steward the vision and practical health of the church, working closely with the Eldership to ensure alignment across all areas of church life.
Elders
The Eldership provides spiritual oversight, wisdom, and pastoral guidance for the church. They help guard the spiritual direction and health of Oakhill, ensuring that we remain rooted in biblical truth and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Deacons
Deacons serve the church through practical leadership, ministry support, care, and community building. This includes ministry leaders, small group leaders, and those helping carry the everyday life and functioning of the church. At Oakhill, leadership grows
through serving. Many of our leaders have journeyed through different areas of church life over time, building strong foundations, healthy relationships, and a deep understanding of the heart and culture of the church.
